Entrepreneurial Teachers

Entrepreneurial teachers exchange the security of the school for the freedom and responsibility to build their own unique brand as a teacher and to market their classes. Brand is just a fancy way of saying reputation for the quality work a person does. Instead of confining their gifts and offerings to the four walls of a classroom, entrepreneurial teachers flip the entire school on its head and make it a platform on which they can stand and teach the world.

Instead of grinding it out as a cog in some administrative wheel, entrepreneurial teachers maintain their right to develop and act on their calling. This is why entrepreneurial teachers don’t need to rely on someone else to give them students to teach or tell them how to teach them. Their calling as a teacher extends beyond and outside of the classroom. They are natural teachers. They teach the world why their offerings matter. They teach the world why students would benefit from studying under their tutelage. And, because they are good teachers, students come to them to learn. This is what some people call marketing.
